From The Greens
If you see a new face around the complex it is our new apprentice who is joining the team on the 1st July. His name is Caleb Lawler and we hope he will enjoy his time with us.
Repairs to the irrigation trenches are continuing.
Irrigation Project: All holes have now been completed and the contractors are now going round and tiding up the installation. It is expected that this will take a week or two before we commence with the final inspection and hand over process.
Damage caused to the drainage on the 11th hole when the power line was being installed is currently being attended to by Vos Construction. While this is going on we will take the opportunity next week to see if anything else can be done to improve the water flow through the 9th and 18th fairways.
3rd Hole: Closing of the drain on the 3rd hole will commence on about Wednesday next week. The job is expected to take about three days to do.
Maintenance on the new bowling greens is progressing well with the surface down to 10mm. They are looking really good and this will assist in keeping the greens disease free.
Bowling greens in Devonport are recovering well and also starting to look good.
Work has commenced on the Croquet Lawn surfaces in town so that play can continue until December.
